Virginia Economic Development Partnership
Visits the Lynchburg Region
Last week we were grateful to host a team from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) for a two-day tour of the Lynchburg region. Stop highlights included: Central Virginia Community College, Liberty University, Sentry Equipment & Erectors, Inc., VectorSpace, and a tour of Downtown Lynchburg and the Central Virginia Training Center.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership collaborates with state, regional, and local partners to encourage the expansion and diversification of Virginia's economy. VEDP works to accomplish these objectives through a variety of activities, including marketing and lead generation, business retention, expansion, and attraction, trade development, business intelligence, competitive benchmarking, site development, performance based incentives, and talent solutions.
As a regional partner, the Alliance's work with VEDP is critical for the economic development of the Lynchburg region. Through this partnership, VEDP assists the Alliance with formulating regional economic development strategies, administering economic development incentive programs, engaging in site development activities, and encouraging the coordination of local economic development organizations.
