Take Part in Maternal and Child Health Needs Assessment Survey

The Virginia Department of Health is conducting a statewide Maternal and Child Health Needs Assessment, and your response is needed! The survey only takes 5-10 minutes and is an opportunity to share your input on maternal and child health priorities.

Provider FAQs on CCC+ and Medallion
Did you know many of the Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) providing medical care under Medicaid offer enhanced dental benefits? These FAQs share information on billing and dental services covered by MCOs in CCC+ and Medallion.
Fluoride Varnish Billing Information
In Virginia, medical providers can bill for fluoride varnish. This resource shares billing information and codes with providers.
Virginia Oral Health Summit Presentation Recordings
This year's Virginia Oral Health Summit featured topics ranging from health equity to water fluoridation in Virginia; recordings and slides are all available on our website.

In 2000, the Surgeon General released its Report on Oral Health This  seminal report shaped our work and served as the base for the incredible innovations happening in oral health. Now, nearly 20 years later, the Surgeon General is creating a new, updated Report on Oral Health to reflect the changes that have taken place. Join health advocates around the country for a free webinar on January 10 at 12:00 p.m. EST to hear about the status of the new report, and learn more about the process for submitting written comments regarding the report by January 25. New Fact Sheet Highlights Importance of Oral Health Risk Assessments

The Children's Dental Health Project's new fact sheet emphasizes opportunities to use oral health risk assessments with children to create individualized care. Along with information on the importance of oral health risk assessments, the fact sheet shares additional resources for providers.
