Dear Holy Cross Academy Families,

Earlier this afternoon, Governor Northam ordered all public and private schools in the Commonwealth to close for the remainder of the school year. I just completed a conference call with the leadership in the Diocese, and all Diocesan schools will follow this mandate.

Holy Cross Academy will continue delivering its distance education through the remainder of the school year. I am conducting a conference call with faculty and staff tomorrow morning so we can discuss best practices of our E-learning.

I will continue to keep the lines of communication open and will fill in the many questions we all have as soon as I have the correct information. We are all in this difficult situation together and will make decisions based on what is in the best interest of learners.

Although this is an especially trying time, I feel blessed to have such a talented and dedicated faculty and supportive parent group. Please join me in praying for our school, that we find comfort in our Catholic faith. And pray for our students, that they continue growing intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. You are all in my prayers.
