JNESO MET WITH VIRTUA MANAGEMENT TO
DISCUSS THE COVID VACCINATION
JNESO raised the following issues:

  • Medical and Religious accommodations
  • Workers’ Compensation & PTO usage if side effects occur
  • Alternatives to mandating
If you need to request Medical and/or Religious exemptions,
please submit your application before August 11th, 2021.

All members must be fully vaccinated on or before
September 15th, 2021.
Virtua will consider a medical accommodation, with medical documentation. Medical accommodations may be for members that are Pregnant, Breast Feeding, have evidence of a potential anaphylactic reaction, and medical conditions that may prohibit members from receiving the vaccine, like immunocompromised diseases or medications causing a suppressed immune system.
If you are requesting a religious accommodation, you will need to provide evidence of your sincerely held religious beliefs.
At this time, after receiving the vaccine, and if side effects occur, Virtua is not counting the call-outs as occurrences. However, to be safe, consider taking the vaccine prior to your next scheduled time off so that you have off the next few days.
