Hello my fellow Virtua RNs,
At the conclusion of the September 29th Membership Meetings, the Call for Nominations closed for Local Officer elections. Nominations were counted and all officers ran unopposed and were duly nominated to serve in their current positions.
Congratulations to Evangeline Smith, who recently retired from nursing and served as VP at Marlton. Thank you Evangeline for your years of service to the Union and for your dedication to our profession!
Also at the conclusion of the September 29th, 8:00 PM Business Meeting, the membership voted to approve an expenditure of $20,000 to be utilized for a visibility campaign for upcoming contract negotiations. The explanation for this vote was declared in the letter sent to all members prior to voting.
Negotiations are around the corner and we need everyone's help and support. I always say, "your contract is only as good as the members behind it." Remember, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall". Please contact a Local Officer or JNESO Labor Rep. if you would like to attend a pre-negotiation work session to plan for upcoming Contract Negotiations.
