About this training:

Anger Management Essentials is offering a 3-day live stream training for those interested in offering anger management services. Anger Management Essentials is a National Anger Management Association (NAMA) authorized certification program.

REGISTRATION & TRAINING DETAILS:

Registration Fee: $1000-$1100. Discounts apply with 3 or more registrants. $1000 is the early bird rate and can be applied for the February and March training. NAMA/CAAMP membership fees are NOT included with the registration fee. Registration fee DOES cover 2 hours of the supervision required by NAMA. Registration fee includes the program workbook (adult and teen's book).

Semi-Private Training option
Fee: $5950
1. Anger Management Essentials provides the virtual meeting space
2. Limited to 7 registrants from the agency ($850 per employee).

Private Training
Fee: $12,000
Agency can have up to 20 people in attendance ($600 per employee). 
Two agencies can share the cost for the private training and each bring up to 10 employees.

21 CE's are offered. CAMFT Provider Number 128471 - Course meets the qualifications for 21 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Requirement- Watching the 1-hour video on neuroscience and anger by Dr. Marc Milstein AND passing the quiz by 80% is required prior to attending the training.

Anger Management Essentials is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for Certified Anger Management Counselors. Anger Management Essentials maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Learning objectives

  1. Apply six anger management tools to treat aggressive clients through the review during the lecture.
  2. Assess whether the client will benefit from an anger management program through the tips discussed in the lecture.
  3. Prepare progress reports for the courts and the workplace.
  4. Integrate strategies to manage a cohesive group when dealing with disruptions.
  5. Facilitate two mock groups and two individual mock sessions throughout the training.
Participants will receive:

  1. Client workbooks (adult and teen); 
  2. The rough draft of the Facilitator's Manual (soft copy);
  3. Over 50 lesson plans to be used for each individual or group session;
  4. Resources for the various anger management assessment tools; 
  5. Three opportunities to practice group and one on one facilitating during the training; and,
  6. Business forms and paperwork that is requested from the courts (soft copy is also provided).

This training does NOT cover:

  1. Marketing your practice, consultation, advertising tips; or
  2. CAAMP or NAMA membership fees.

About the trainer:

Anita Avedian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, practicing in Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, and Glendale. She graduated with her M.S. in Educational Psychology, and completed two certifications including Employee Assistance Program and Human Resources from California State University of Northridge. Her specialties include working with relationships, anger, anxiety, and addictions. Anita is the Executive Director of Avedian Counseling Center, helping both self-referred and court-ordered individuals seek help for mental health needs and/or aggression. She is the author of Anger Management Essentials, the cornerstone resource with over 50 lesson plans used in the Anger Management certification training. Miss. Avedian is the co-Founder of the California Association of Anger Management Providers (CAAMP) which is also the California Chapter of the National Anger Management Association (NAMA), and the Founder of Toastmasters for Mental Health Professionals.
