QPR Suicide Prevention Training



Hosted by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, QPR Suicide Prevention Training helps individuals recognize the warning signs of suicidal thinking, behavior and attempts. The training helps individuals question, persuade and refer people at risk for help. This will be a virtual 3-hour training open to the community.

Please join Beach Cities Health District's (BCHD) Board of Directors, Strategic Planning Committee and staff for our Strategic Planning Half Day.

 

The Half Day brings together BCHD's Board, committees, staff, volunteers, community partners and members of the public to improve decision making, enhance organizational responsiveness, improve performance and strengthen the organization.

 

In-person participation is preferred for this Strategic Development Half-Day due to the nature of the breakout activity. Virtual attendance is available, but participation will be limited during the breakout.

Virtual Mindfulness Drop-In


Take 30 minutes to downshift and practice mindfulness techniques. The guided session will be led by a trained Beach Cities Health District instructor.

allcove Beach Cities invites you to covefest! The grand opening festival will feature tours of the new center, live bands and a variety of wellness activities for young people and their families. Be sure to mark your calendars!


allcove Beach Cities is a space for young people to find community, support, advise or even just pause and hangout. This new integrated youth center, located at Beach Cities Health District’s campus in Redondo Beach, offers mental and physical health services, education and employment assistance, peer and family support and substance use prevention programs for young people ages 12-25 in the greater South Bay.

Beach Cities Partnership for Youth Coalition is hosting an in-person community forum that will include a film screening of Dead on Arrival, a fentanyl documentary by Dominic Tierno and Christine Wood, followed by a panel discussion.
