The School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences is pleased to present a special virtual seminar on Aquaponics featuring Dr. George Brooks, Jr., on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. CST via Zoom.

Dr. George Brooks, Jr., considered among the premier African American pioneers in sustainable food production involving aquaculture and aquaponics, is a leading expert in the field of Aquaculture and has been a proponent of sustainable food production issues since the early 1970's. Dr. Brooks has made prolific contributions to the scholarly field of Aquaculture. Learn more about his work in Aquaculture here as well as his important contributions to the City of Phoenix General Plan.
