Wear It, Ride It, Fly It
A virtual look into Paterson's industrial story!

From Paterson's humble beginning as a small factory town, to becoming one of country's most significant industrial cities, join us for an exploration of Paterson's contribution to Industrial Revolution as the nation's first planned industrial city. Students will learn about three of Paterson's largest industries as they journey back in time to Paterson's past. This interactive virtual program will use museum object, videos, and a game to help students gain additional understanding of the industrial innovations that took place in Paterson and helped shape the story of the United States.
Topics covered include: New Jersey history and the Industrial Revolution.
Learning the Land
Science at Paterson Great Falls

Paterson Great Falls and the surrounding areas are the result of a distinct and ordered combination of geologic events Students will discover how the Great Falls and the landscape inspired Alexander Hamilton and others to develop the first planned industrial city in this location. Students will examine the relationship between the factories the fueled the nation's early economy and impacts on the environment. explore these events and By looking at the history of Paterson, New Jersey as an industrial city, students will understand the harmful effects to an environment that can come from manufacturing.

Every Kid Outdoors
Program designed for 4th grade

Every Kid Outdoors is a program just for fourth graders to explore their national lands for the free. Why fourth graders? Research shows that kids ages 9 to 11 are beginning to learn about the world around them. They’re open to new ideas, and they are likely to connect to nature and our history. Through this program, students will learn about America’s National Parks, the duties of a Park Ranger, and what parks are around them locally. By gaining knowledge of the National Park Service, fourth graders will appreciate their free pass and spark the curiosity to explore their public lands and parks.

Our National Parks
Suggested 3rd grade and below

This presentation will include an overview of our country's national parks. We will cover what it means to be a national park, and what national park rangers do in parks by exploring the symbols of the NPS Arrowhead. Students can create their own personal arrowhead with what they care to preserve and protect. This is geared towards students in grades 3 and below.
