Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario Celebrating Virtual Key Ceremony in St. Thomas for 2 Local Families

March 18, 2021, St. Thomas, ON Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario is excited to celebrate the completion of a semi-detached home at 92 & 94 Scott Street in St. Thomas for two local families with a Virtual Key Ceremony, streaming live on Habitat Heartland’s Facebook page on March 25th at 11:00am. All are welcome to watch and engage with the St. Thomas Virtual Key Ceremony live stream to show support for Habitat Heartland’s newest homeowners: Teagan and her son Dante, and Shayna and her children Jackson, Jordyn, and live-in babysitter Raige. 

92 Scott Street, that will be home to Teagan’s family, was sponsored by 94.1 myFM St. Thomas. Shayna’s family will live at 94 Scott Street, which was sponsored by Corus FM96 London. These homes are the 5th and 6th Habitat Heartland builds in Elgin County.  A special thanks to the City of St. Thomas for their continued commitment to bringing much needed affordable homeownership opportunities to local families. 

The St. Thomas Virtual Key Ceremony will include speeches from: Habitat homeowners Teagan and Shayna, St. Thomas City Manager Wendell Graves, Grant MacDonald and Chris Zwicker – Co-chairs of St. Thomas Steering Committee, Brian Elliot – CEO Habitat Heartland Ontario, George DeVlugt – GM Contruction Habitat Heartland Ontario

The St. Thomas Virtual Key Ceremony will be streaming live on the Habitat Heartland Ontario Facebook page on March 25th at 11:00am. Immediately following the livestream, Habitat Heartland will post an additional Key Ceremony Thank You video with remarks from dignitaries and supporters that were unable to attend in-person, due to the current COVID restrictions.
