Greetings!

It is my hope that you have registered for the March 25 webinar focusing on our work as medicolegal experts in a virtual world. We are all impacted by the tremendous ripple effects of COVID-19; therefore, I have renamed this event, without any reference to "viral". If you have already registered, ignore this email, if not, encourage you to attend.

The response has been tremendous. Following are some of the questions that registrants have asked and which will be answered:

  • How do I establish virtual medical expert witness practice and flourish?
  • Do you foresee doing virtual independent medical evaluations (IMEs) becoming mainstream?
  • How do I organize and manage records received online?
  • Do we need to record and archive virtual IMEs?
  • How are physical examinations done virtually?
  • What are the steps required for easy transition into this realm?
  • What about HIPPA?
  • Have there been court cases that have tested the value/merit of virtual IMEs?
  • Is any jurisdiction allowing determination of disability by a virtual encounter? If not, will this occur?

These are challenging times for all of us - to say the least. Within the past month our world has changed; this has also profoundly impacted the work we do, and our professional and financial security. Medicolegal activities and the performance of independent medical evaluations (IMEs) are profoundly impacted. We each need to be wise in taking proactive steps, including exploring new opportunities.

For over two decades I have worked in a virtual environment and now want to share with you how to be successful in this arena. You may be entering the virtual world because it is no longer feasible to work as you have done before and/or you are seeking other income - regardless of the reason, I want to assist.

On March 25, I will provide you with guidance and resources to be successful as a "virtual medicolegal expert". It is my hope long after the COVID-19 crisis, that you will find work in this arena is very rewarding. This is a superb investment of time at minimal cost. Seats for this webinar are limited; therefore, I highly recommend you register today. If you are not available for the live webinar, please register so you may obtain the recording and resources. Share this information with your colleagues!

Stay healthy.

All my best,

Chris
