Dear Panther Parents,
You guys are AWESOME…we deployed 747 laptops to our Evans’ students yesterday. That is impressive. A huge thanks to our MISD staff who helped make this a smooth event and to the families who were able to head up there and pick up those laptops. Many of you have reached out to let me know that you were unable to attend this event…NO WORRIES. We got this. We will have another laptop deployment from campus on August 10
. We will mirror the same day and times that PTO has planned the supply pick-up and purchase, in hopes that this makes it easier on our families. The laptop pick-up will be in the BACK of the building by the cafeteria. Specific details will be released in next week’s newsletter. Just note: Aug. 10
from 9-10:30 and 5:30-7:00.
Virtual Meet the Teacher will be released on Monday, August 10
. Student schedules will also be viewable in HAC on that day.
Pick-up/Drop-off of locker items that were not picked up or dropped off in May or June will be scheduled via email appointments from Aug 4
. Please look for an email to come from an MISD employee letting you know if your child still has items here on campus. You can choose to donate (if they are supplies or pick-up items).
Several families have shared concerns about limited or no wi-fi in their homes. Below is some information about companies who are helping out our families. I can also look into the option of checking out a Hot Spot to those in need.
Hot Spot/Wi-Fi info:

Can’t wait to get this year started. I am sure there will be times we feel like we are riding on a roller coaster…but at the end of a crazy ride, there is always that smooth, calm ending when we know we have arrived safely at our destination. So let’s buckle up…and enjoy the ride!!
WE GOT THIS!!
