Welcome to Virtual PAC-UP
Get feedback on your faculty application materials
Workshop: Tuesday July 28 from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Video: Apply - Step 5: Get feedback on your application materials (please watch Steps 1-5 if you are attending this workshop!)

About this workshop
If you've already written your CV and Cover Letter and want feedback on them , our first workshop is for you! Participants will be paired together and will use a checklist based on the Academic Career Readiness Assessment (ACRA) to give and receive feedback on their materials. Past trainees have reported that this peer-review process is very effective! Laurence Clement will facilitate this process, provide feedback, and answer questions. To participate, you'll need to share materials with Laurence by Sunday July 26 at 5 p.m. See instructions below!

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, you'll be able to:
  • Develop application materials to represent yourself adequately for faculty positions
  • Identify areas of improvement for your application materials
  • Analyze and evaluate other candidates' application materials
  • Develop a strategy for addressing the areas of concern in your materials

Note: We do not review application materials in 1:1 appointments. Come to one of the Step 5 workshops to have your application reviewed and schedule a 1:1 appointment to discuss how to address weaknesses or concerns in your materials.

"Wait, but we haven't done Steps 1-4 yet!"
You are right. We're offering this same workshop three times for people on different schedules. Come to this one if you already have application materials ready to go and want feedback now. Not ready yet? No problem! Come to the one on September 2 or September 22! We'll go through Steps 1-4 before then.
