Patrons may now request materials system-wide via BCCLS and Inter-Library Loan (ILL). Please note all requests MUST be picked up at your home library per BCCLS. Curbside remains available. New library hours and rules have been implemented for COVID-19. We are currently only serving West Orange cardholders and West Orange residents. The first hour of each day is designated for seniors (65 and up per CDC guidelines) and the medically vulnerable.

Mondays, 6:00 PM via Zoom
Maryann Poris, an experienced, certified instructor of English as a Second Language, will offer an online--Zoom--course in Basic English for non-native speakers who want to develop their spoken and written English skills. Classes will be held online Mondays from 6-7pm. Zoom can be accessed on the computer, laptop, I-Pad, or cell phone from home.

Feng Shui, The Bagua Series with Milly Reed
Tuesdays, 10:00 AM Starting November 10, 2020 via Zoom
In this nine week series, Milly Reed will present a different Bagua Zone each week including how these zones influence all aspects of life.

Tuesday, November 10 - Self:The area where this zone falls in your home will be identified. Explanations of its influence on career, your ease of life, and your life’s journey. Also, the participants will determine, via an exercise, whether they are an East or West person. This has implications in terms of individual comfort and your personal Feng Shui.

Tuesday, November 17 - Wisdom: The area where this zone falls in your home will be identified. Definitions of Intuition, Meditation, Knowledge and Contemplation will be provided and explanations of the influence this area in your home has on this specific zone in your life.

Tuesday, November 24 - Community: The area where this zone falls in your home will be identified. A new definition of “family” will be provided and the discussion will include how family, elders, ancestors influence our lives. In addition, a discussion of how this area deals also includes “New Beginnings” and “Community Health”. The participants will also acquire an understanding of how what you have in this zone in your home affects your life. Question/Answer period.

Spanish I is designed as an introductory course for absolute beginners, and as such, will establish a strong foundation and promote future success in Spanish learning for years of study to come.

Dungeons and Dragons group for 7th through 12th graders meets online using the Discord website.
Beginners welcome! Please email teens@westorangelibrary.org for more information. Epic quests await teens who join our D&D club at the library! D&D features role playing, storytelling, on-the-spot strategic thinking, math skills, problem solving, and teamwork all rolled into one!
