York County Senior Centers

Are Hoping to Keep Our Older Adults Connected!

Greetings!

Some York County Senior Centers Have Decided to Share Virtual Programming So More People Can Stay Connected!!!

Lisa Krout, from White Rose Senior Center, is taking the lead of coordinating the links for this Pilot Idea from the Centers who would like to participate. Many Centers in York County are doing Zoom, Facebook Live, and other platforms but we are finding that perhaps a handful of our members are participating. Lancaster County started a Virtual Senior Center in October 2020 and this idea was something that a few Directors in York thought of when the Pandemic hit early on.

Each Center who wants to participate is to email Lisa with their programs for the upcoming month. She will compile a list and send it out to each Center to distribute to their members.

If this is successful and grows over the next few months, the York County Senior Centers want to expand it and perhaps create a Virtual Senior Center in York County. We are actively looking for financial support of the project. Even when we reopen, we all see this as a way to stay connected to many homebound and isolated older adults!

Your local TechOWL specialist will:

Work with you to select the right device.
Load the software and apps that you need and want.
Support and teach you through the process.

All devices can be borrowed for 4 weeks with an option for longer.

White Rose Senior Center has collected a supply of Depends and Pads that we would love see go to someone who needs them. Many are small/medium but we do have a few larger sizes. Please call us at 717-843-9704 if you know someone who could use them!
