Virtual Scheduling and Caring for Each Other
Hey everyone,
Later this week, I will be sending each family 2 or 3 names of Senior Adults to check in with during this time of social distancing. Many of our seniors will need to be much more isolated to keep them safe, so we are creating an Adopt a Senior program. If you are willing to adopt two or 3, I ask that your family calls them at least once a week, and sends a note to each of them. I will give you their names, addresses, and phone numbers. This is a great way for us to still be the church even though we can't all be in one room together. If wish to participate (and I hope all of you will!), please click here and let me know.
I've heard from some of you about schedules and it sounds like school schedules range from working at your own pace to giving you enough stuff for the whole day. With this in mind, here is what our virtual schedule will be:
Mondays - 1:00-1:30- Story time with Miss Jessica
1:30-2:00- Joke time with Miss Jessica (bring your best jokes!)
Every child is invited to both, but I thought some of the older kids might like joke time more, and the younger ones might like story time. Here is the Zoom information: Zoom link for Story Time and Joke Time
Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 12:00-1:00- Virtual Lunch. Bring your lunch and join me virtually in having lunch together! Here is the zoom information: Zoom Link and Instructions
Wednesdays : I will send out the large group videos for both mission friends (preschool, First Look video) and RAs/GAs (elementary, 252 video) as well as a video about a missionary each Wednesday by noon. That way, you are able to watch those videos whenever is most convenient.
Sundays : I will be teaching a 30 minute lesson for Sunday School. I am still working on whether that will be through Zoom, Facebook live, or a video that I send out.

Zoom requires that you have a microphone in order to be heard, and a webcam in order to be seen. You can call in to zoom on a phone, and we will be able to hear the audio. The great thing about Zoom is that we can interact with each other, instead of this just being a video. Please let me know if you have a preference for Sunday School.

Some of you have asked how you can donated to help hungry children during this time. MUST Ministries in Cobb County and North Fulton Community Charities are excellent places to donate food and/or money to help them as they help the Cobb County and North Fulton School systems feed hungry kids.

Praying for each and every one of you as you deal with your own anxiety and with your children's. Praying for you as you prepare to teach your kids over the next few weeks. We will get through this. We will flatten the curve and come out on the other side. I'm trying not to flood your inbox, so you will NOT receive my normal Tuesday email tomorrow. You'll receive another email from me on Wednesday.
Much love,
Jessica
