Your Virtual Health and Connection

For most of us, our typical work patterns are all out of whack. In an effort to find out what will best support you in this "remote work" period, the Wellness Program is asking you to fill out an anonymous survey , by Monday, April 6.

We also want you to know about some great resources you have at your disposal.
On Wednesdays April 8 at 1 PM, log into a Zoom Mindfulness presentation from Jeremy Hunter, offered through Weatherhead Executive Education, called "The Storm Makes You Stronger." Registration is open.

On Thursday, April 9 at 1 PM, the Wellness Program will present, "How to Stay Sane When You are Working from Home." a one hour presentation from Stella Grizont. Please register in advance .

On Friday April 24th at Noon, we present "Skills to Help You Weather the Storm" a one hour webinar from Rowan Silverberg, PhD. Please register in advance.

One to One Fitness is offering FREE virtual classes for the campus community. Learn about the wide variety of virtual services from One to One.

The Wellness Program is curating a Covid-19 Wellness Resources page that is updated frequently.

In addition, the Wellness Program is inviting you to share your ideas on staying connected on a weekly forum on Thursday afternoons on the Wellness Facebook page.

Better Connect and Communicate at Work and Home
Heidi Weiker is back with her popular series, Building Connection and Communication in the Midst of Stress, this month. During the 8-week series, participants will learn and practice how to respond instead of react, use diplomacy and respect and more. Improve relationships at work and at home by participating.

Attestation Forms are OPEN in HCM
Every year on April 1, the Wellness Program opens the Program Incentive Attestation Forms in HCM. Those who have completed 85% of the classes in any of our program areas like stress management, nutrition, and financial wellness are welcome to attest starting today.

This year HCM looks a little different!
Short on Workout Time? Try Rapid Workout

No need to skip your workout even when you are busy or stuck at home. Rapid Workout offers a full body, cardio and strength workout in under 40 minutes. Learn to build routines you can do on your own or with friends with minimal equipment (resistance band and paper plates). This class is not for those new to exercise. It is short, but challenging.

It's a Great Time for Deskside Learning


SelfHelpWorks is a suite of seven interactive lifestyle change programs, some of which qualify for the Wellness Program Incentive. Over the course of weeks, these self-paced programs use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help participants take control of unhealthy behaviors. Love to Read? Summer Books@Work Sessions are Starting in May

One of our most popular programs, Books@Work, is back for a 12 week summer session. These professor led discussions build confidence and community as you connect with new friends from all over campus. See why 100% of those who participated in 2019 would do it again!

Financial Wellness during the Covid-19 Crisis

Share Your Passion for Health and Well-being
Now is a great time to connect with others on campus and become a Wellness Champion. Our Champs weigh in on a variety of classes and programs that are offered, captain teams for fitness and other competitions, help out at events like Party on the Quad and the Benefits fair and act as department contacts for the campus Wellness Program.
