MAKING AN IMPACT
Tutors Help Our La Colonia Youth & Harper Teens Stay on Top of Their Studies
Many of our La Colonia & Harper Teen Center youth have the potential to fall behind academically during this quarantine. While schools are providing virtual classes, the technology and understanding it takes to be independently successful with them is hard for some.

In March, thanks to a dedicated band of volunteers and staff, we launched a virtual tutoring service for our K-12 members. Reading, writing, math, history and science are just a few of the subjects we covered. The 30 minutes spent daily with their tutors has been a great way for our youth and teens to connect educationally and emotionally.

Thank you to these hometown heroes for sharing their time and talents with our members!
