UPDATE OHIO.ORG

Start Planning for Solar Eclipse Events!

On April 8, 2024, a rare total solar eclipse of the sun will happen across a portion of the United States, including here in Stark County, Ohio!

To capitalize on this rare event that hasn’t happened in Ohio in over 200 years, TourismOhio will launch new eclipse content on Ohio.org that educates visitors about the best viewing locations, accommodations, attractions, and activities to make the most of their eclipse viewing experience.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Add your eclipse event listing to Ohio.org. We want visitors to know that Ohio is the place where they can have the best eclipse experience. Festivals and events are consistently among the most searched subjects on Ohio.org so the more information we have here, the better! You can learn more about adding your event here or contact jesse.dotson@development.ohio.gov if you have questions.
  2. Add Ohio, The Heart of it All as a co-host for your events on Facebook. This will allow your event to appear on our followers’ news feeds and on the events section of our page. Win-win!
  3. Share our content. TourismOhio will be issuing press releases this September and October promoting the April 8 eclipse in Ohio. If you have an event in our database, help amplify our message and promote your event by sharing our releases and associated social media postings with your audiences.
