Coming from three generations of jewelers, Karina's parents immigrated to the US from the Ukraine when she was a baby. From this legacy she has learned first-hand the value of hard work and appreciates the gift of the American dream. Upon graduation from Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Karina was accepted by London College of Fashion to pursue her dream of luxury accessory design. After much consideration, Karina opted instead to help her family by putting this dream on hold so she could stay back and continue her family legacy in the jewelry business. Little did she know that deep desire to create and design would soon manifest itself in the world's most unique and custom jewelry. As she continued to assist in the family business, Karina wanted to start her own legacy. She recognized a lack of qualified appraisers in the region, and opened her own appraisal business, Palm Beach Gemologist, in 2010.

PB Gem specializes in appraising high end jewelry and watches for clients all over the Continental US and world. Working with gemstones and growing up her whole life in the jewelry industry, Karina finally decided to dedicate her expertise into wearable art using rare gems and top quality diamonds. The timing felt right. With her family's blessing, Karina launched her new couture jewelry line"KARINA BREZ" in the summer of 2012. Her line features uniquely designed wearable art accented with exotic gems from around the world.

In addition to her design and appraisal career, Brez was also the host for AVC's The Value Vault; Karina is not just another pretty face. Being well-traveled and well-versed in gemology, Karina shared information on trends and facts about the gems and minerals she so beautifully models. Ms. Brez is one of the most educated and accomplished graduate gemologists of her age. In addition to her Graduate Gemologist Diploma, Karina seems a natural for a career in broadcasting as she set her eyes on a pageant goal, attained the title of Miss Florida USA 2012, and went on to compete in the Miss USA in Las Vegas later that same year.
