Experience Pathways to Recovery Through Art!

The Summer of the Arts exhibit showcases the creativity

of many of our community members who are living with mental illnesses.

The artists use art to express their journeys through recovery.

The event supports their talents by providing a wonderful opportunity

for the individuals Pathway Homes serves to display their artwork

publicly at an event that many look forward to all year.

Artists receive 100% of proceeds.

The 10th annual Summer of the Arts Exhibit honors Karen Free,

a long-time resident of Pathway Homes and accomplished artist,

who passed away in 2011. In memory of Karen’s love of art and culture,

the Free family established the Karen Free Art and Recreation Recovery Fund

to spur cultural awareness and expand artistic opportunities

for residents of Pathway Homes.

Special thank you to the Fairfax County Government Center

for hosting our exhibit!
