FCC Alumni & Friends were so happy to participate as a team alongside Chabot Student Life and Chabot AGS Club at the East Bay Relay for Life on Saturday, August 26. FCC Alumni & Friends had a goal of raising $300 for the American Cancer Society, and our team was able to raise an outstanding $548! Great job, #teamChabot!
All proceeds go to Relay for Life, which benefits the American Cancer Society (ACS) to support ACS's service and lifesaving research.

TRIO ETS Forensic Science Camp
This past summer, TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) hosted a Forensic Science summer camp for our TRIO middle and high school students. As is the case with educational impact, it took a village.
|
Thank you for:
- Use of the lab space and equipment (Dean Forbes)
- Woven Learning and Technology, our educational partner and program provider, along with Denise Cuevas, our instructor
- Presentations from Jessica Vile on behalf of the Administration of Justice program, Detective Boucher, and Hayward PD
- HUSD Nutrition Services for breakfast and lunches
- Hello Insight, our social emotional learning evaluation tool
| |
Summer Camp's existence and success would not have been possible without this support. The infographic (above) reflects the camp's impact.
To help launch the new school year, the Friends of Chabot sponsored a College Day Social for Chabot employees on August 15. The event featured brats, brews, Cindy's Soft Serve, and great company. Thank you to everyone who helped support the event and joined us in welcoming new employees and the new College President.
