Stress Awareness Month

National Stress Awareness Month is dedicated to raising public awareness about the causes and impacts of stress. It encourages individuals to recognize stressors in their lives and explore effective coping strategies. Click the links below to learn more about stress and how to cope.

This program serving the community is funded by the City of San Francisco's Department of Disability and Aging Services.

Recipes for April

Avocado White Bean Dip (No Blender Needed)


Here's a delicious dip for those spring and summer parties. Use it for vegetables, chips, crackers, or whatever you like. It's quick and simple to make.

Shrimp Tacos


Tacos are always fun to make and eat. Most or all of the ingredients may already be in your kitchen. It's just a matter of putting them together and create taco magic for friends and family.

Project Open Hand serves lunches 5 days a week, Monday through Friday at 66 Raymond Ave. Meals are FREE. Seniors may give a $2 donation, but it is not required. Non-seniors and visitors are required to pay $6 per meal.
