ESL Mid-Summer Performance

at 1530 Sunnydale Ave, "The Hub"

The Felton Institute ESL class gathered on July 24, 2026, for its

mid-summer performance at The Hub. The event marked the first live performance since the pandemic. During that time, all ESL Classes and performances had been held virtually on Zoom.

Although District 10 Supervisor Shamann Walton was unable to attend, he presented a Certificate of Honor from the Board of Supervisors to our ESL instructor, Justyna To, in recognition of her seven years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to the program. We sincerely thank Supervisor Walton for his longstanding support of our ESL class and the Visitacion Valley community.

We would also like to recognize Southeast Commissioner Marlene Tran for her unwavering support and dedication to serving the Chinese community in Visitacion Valley.

It's like summer just started and now we are going into August. However, let's keep the spirit of summer going by preparing these two delicious recipes. Both go great together as a meal for you, family, and friends.

Project Open Hand serves lunches 5 days a week, Monday through Friday at 66 Raymond Ave. Meals are FREE. Seniors may give a $2 donation, but it is not required. Non-seniors and visitors are required to pay $6 per meal.
