July, the first of summer IS here!

Visiting Angels celebrated 25 years! This years' annual conference was hosted in Coronado Bay, CA with our very own Chris Dickey, President winning the Outstanding Marketer Award—the Franchisee that most helped his other franchisees and corporate partners in the business. Our offices recognized and celebrated Nurse Assistants Week along with celebrating some Caregivers that hit both one and two year anniversary milestones. There were two virtual services hosted for our Caregivers: Hospice and PTSD training. In light of the busy summer season, we are delighted to start to prepare and head up a coffee with caregivers, breakfast with referral sources along with consistently doing an office team engagement once a month. In July we will be having some extra fun: celebrating Caregivers and Family with hotdogs and ice cream. We are so grateful for our Caregivers!

Although I began my professional caregiving career in 2012 as a PCA, having grown up close with my great-grandparents and Grammy sowed the initial seeds for my passion to help others and continues to inspire me. I have since grown my career as a CNA over the past 10 years by providing care and becoming certified in child and infant CPR and First Aid after having two NICU babies. Caregiving is my passion; from childcare work to providing medical assistance as a PCA/CNA, I am always seeking to learn and enhance my understanding to benefit my clients and accommodate their specific needs. Last year I chose to come on board with Visiting Angels because I wanted to work for a company that would see my value and help me reach my personal goals. By the end of this year I will be a homeowner, I am enrolled in school full time, and my bosses Quentin and Heather both encourage me to strive for my dreams. I love my Visiting Angels family and am honored to have been nominated for Angel of the Quarter!
