Visiting and Strengthening Local Churches

Greetings Ministry Partners,

From June 1-4, the leadership team of CCI Thailand traveled throughout northern Thailand to visit Bible training centers and local churches. The purpose of this trip was to encourage teachers and students, strengthen local ministry efforts, and follow up on the progress of Bible training programs in these communities.

Throughout the visits, the team witnessed many encouraging developments within the churches. They spent valuable time meeting with pastors, church leaders, teachers, and students to discuss biblical training, leadership development, and disciple-making ministries.

One of the greatest blessings was seeing a growing hunger among believers to learn God's Word. Many church members and leaders demonstrated renewed enthusiasm for Bible training and spiritual growth through the local church.

Several of the churches visited previously lacked structured Bible training opportunities, and some leaders had become discouraged or exhausted in ministry. However, after implementing CCI's Bible training program, significant changes have taken place. Believers are gaining a deeper understanding of God's Word, growing in spiritual maturity, and becoming more confident and effective in their service to God. Churches are also experiencing greater unity as pastors, leaders, and members work together in fulfilling God's mission.

The team visited both urban congregations and remote mountain communities, including Karen, Akha, and Lahu tribal churches. Many believers expressed deep appreciation for CCI's ministry and for the opportunity to receive Bible training within their own communities.

This visit once again confirmed that Bible training is a powerful tool for strengthening local churches, equipping leaders, and multiplying disciples. We thank God for His work in northern Thailand and thank you for your faithful prayers, generosity, and partnership. Your support is making a lasting impact as together we strengthen churches and equip leaders for future generations.

Training Tomorrow's Leaders

CCI Cambodia held its monthly Youth Discipleship and Leadership class, with 32 young people participating. These gatherings continue to ground the next generation in God's Word, inspire a mission-minded perspective, and prepare young believers to serve as future leaders in their churches and communities.

Testimony of a Graduate

"I just graduated from the CCI program. I first joined a CCI class in 2022 and completed Books 1 through 5 before the class had to stop for various reasons. At that time, I never thought I would have the opportunity to continue my studies. Then, in 2024, a new class was started, and I was invited to return. I began again with Book 1. Even though I studied Books 1 through 5 a second time, I was grateful for the opportunity, as it strengthened my understanding of God's Word.

I am thankful to my teacher for patiently helping me learn, to the donors who supported our class, and to CCI for giving me this wonderful opportunity. Through this program, I have gained valuable biblical knowledge and grown in my faith. I am committed to taking what I have learned back to my church and doing my best to help make it a disciple-making church. Thank you for investing in my life and the lives of many others."

Teacher Training Workshop

God opened the door for a Teachers Training Workshop (TTW) in southern Myanmar. Twenty-three pastors and local missionaries representing five church partners participated in the training. Through the workshop, they gained a renewed vision that one of a pastor's greatest responsibilities is to equip and train believers within their own congregations. We are thankful for their eagerness to begin using the CCI curriculum to strengthen their churches.

Thailand

Equipping Akha Leaders to Train Others

We praise God for the opportunity to conduct a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) on June 16 and 27 for graduates of AFBC (Akha Fellowship Baptist Christian) in Chiang Rai Province. The workshop was organized under the leadership of Pastor Luke and Pastor David, founders of AFBC.

The purpose of the training was to challenge participants to move beyond personal learning and become teachers who equip others in biblical knowledge, ministry skills, and leadership development. With many pastors and church leaders still in need of biblical training, those who have been equipped have an important responsibility to make disciples and prepare the next generation of Christian leaders.

Twenty leaders from the Akha tribe, representing communities across northern Thailand, participated in the workshop. The team was encouraged by their strong desire to grow and serve the Lord more effectively.

"I thank God for the opportunity to study in the CCI program. I normally work in a factory and have very little free time. Some weeks I have to work overtime almost every day, leaving me with hardly any time to read the Bible. Even though I have been a Christian for more than 10 years, I realized that without God's Word, my spiritual life could not grow stronger.

Studying with CCI has helped me develop the habit of reading and meditating on Scripture seriously. I now understand the Bible much more clearly and have been able to spend meaningful personal time with God. Even if I read only one chapter each day, God faithfully speaks to me through His Word, answering my prayers, correcting me, encouraging me, and filling my heart with peace. His Word gives me strength to face life's challenges with wisdom and confidence. Through this training, I feel better prepared to serve God, to grow as a disciple of Christ, and to help make disciples of others."

Teacher Training Workshop

CCI Vietnam conducted a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) with 11 participants. The Vietnam Peace Evangelical Church (VPEC), a small church organization serving several southern provinces, has chosen the CCI curriculum as its official training program for church leaders beginning in 2026.

Thanks to connections, the National Director was able to conduct this two-day TTW and is grateful that a new CCI class is scheduled to begin this September. We praise God for this opportunity to partner with VPEC in equipping leaders with God's Word.
