Happy New Year!
The pace is a little slower in Sonoma County in January, but the wine and food are just as delicious, and the winter scenery is spectacular.  It's certainly the perfect time of year for visitors to get a taste - quite literally - of this wonderful region.

There's the  Taste of Geyserville  winemaker dinner (Jan. 11-20), Winter WINEland along the Wine Road in northern Sonoma County (Jan. 19-20), and  Chowder Day  in Bodega Bay (Jan. 26).  There's also  The Bowl  at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts with paella and tapas in gorgeous handmade bowls that participants can take home (Jan. 26), and the Great Sonoma Crab and Wine Fest at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds (Feb. 2).  Oh, and who could forget the  Pliny The Younger Release at the Russian River Brewing Company (Feb. 1), when fans line up for hours to get this once-a-year brew?

This is just a handful of the more than 225 events on our calendar in the next two months. A few  highlights are listed below; y ou can view the complete list at  sonomacounty.com/events And d on't forget to check our listings of all the wonderful things to do in Sonoma County at sonomacounty.com/things-to-do .
