Nourishing the Whole Dancer

Vitacca Dance is pleased to announce a Dancer Nutrition Seminar featuring Houston’s leading Dietitian/Nutritionist Roberta Anding (consults with Houston Astros, Houston Ballet, Houston Texans). Sat. Oct. 27 from 9-11am at the Vitacca Dance Woodlands location (9391 Grogan’s Mill Rd. Ste. B1). Vitacca Dance is committed to superior training in dance education, which includes a well-rounded education in nourishing the whole dancer. 

Open to community dancers: $25 (Parents $15)
Pas de Deux Series with Open Dance Project

Vitacca Dance Montrose is thrilled to offer our aspiring dancers continued opportunities in superior training with the upcoming Pas de Deux Series with Ballet Master Richard Bowman and professional Guest Artists from Open Dance Project (ODP) located in Houston, TX. The Pas de Deux Series offers one hour sessions every Thursday for the month of October. We are pleased to afford our young artists the opportunity to accelerate their dance education, as well as, work with professional guest artists. We look forward to the growth of our Pas de Deux Series and our ongoing collaboration with Open Dance Project Artistic Director Annie Arnoult and ODP dancers.

WOODLANDS BOYS FOCUS CLASS ON FRIDAY'S

Vitacca Dance Woodlands has successfully developed a very promising boys program. The program introduces the art form of dance to boys with classes guided by excellent male instruction from Ballet Master Spencer Gavin Hering . The program focus is to train, guide and enhance the boys as dancers. The end result is a disciplined young man who will have an appreciation for classical ballet and modern dance. The bond between male students is evident in classes. Both the school and students are supportive of boys who are interested in pursuing dance instruction in the arts.

VITACCA WOODLANDS PRESENTS THE NUTCRACKER

Vitacca Dance Woodlands presents The Nutcracker from November 23-25, 2018. A dazzling holiday tradition for children and adults of all ages. The Nutcracker is the perfect introduction for children to the wonderful world of ballet. 

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sun. Oct. 28 at 8am. Tickets are $20; all seats reserved.

Spotlight on Vitacca Dance Montrose & Woodlands Ballet Mistress Tina Bohnstedt
Tina Bohnstedt began her intense dance training at the Heinz-Bosl Stiftung Ballet Academy in Munich, and received her diploma in 1989. During this time, she was awarded the Junior Gold Medal at the German Ballet Competition as well as fourth place finalist in the Moscow International Ballet Competition. Thereafter, Ms. Bohnstedt was appointed Principal Dancer with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich. Continue reading Ms. Bohnstedt's bio.

Winter Workshop | January 4, 2019
Leap back into the studio after the holidays and get a jump start on your audition season preparation! The Vitacca Dance Winter Workshop offers intermediate and advanced dancers age 11+ a day of focused and challenging technique classes with Vitacca Faculty and Guest Teachers. Ballet, contemporary, modern and variations offered.

Fri. Jan. 4, 2019 from 10am-3.30pm at the Vitacca Dance Montrose (2311 Dunlavy) location.
