Transforming Patient Comfort: A Generous Donation Enables the Purchase of Infusion Chairs for Pardee Cancer Center

In a heartwarming display of community support, a recent donation by Frederick and Delores Linse, alongside Marilyn Gordon, has paved the way for significant improvements at the Pardee Cancer Center in 2023. Marilyn Gordon's contribution, made in honor of esteemed Pardee Physician Dr. Navin Anthony, has added a touching dimension to the philanthropic initiative.

Thanks to the benevolence of these donors, Pardee Hospital Foundation has been able to take a substantial step toward enhancing the patient experience at the Cancer Center. The generous contributions have made it possible to purchase much-needed infusion chairs, a crucial component of the chemotherapy administration process.

Infusion sessions, a vital aspect of cancer treatment, often require patients to remain seated for extended durations. Recognizing the importance of providing optimal comfort, the Foundation set out to secure funding for five state-of-the-art infusion chairs. These chairs are designed with meticulous attention to detail, incorporating ergonomic features to ensure the well-being of patients undergoing treatment.

These infusion chairs play a pivotal role in mitigating discomfort, reducing pressure points, and promoting optimal postural alignment for patients during their treatment sessions. Additionally, the chairs enable healthcare professionals to have unhindered and timely access to patients, striking a harmonious balance between patient comfort and clinical accessibility.

By contributing to this initiative, you become an integral part of transforming the patient experience at the Pardee Cancer Center. Your generosity will resonate in the lives of those facing the challenges of cancer, offering them a seat of comfort and hope during their infusion sessions.

UNC Health Pardee Expands Primary Care with the Addition of Three New Providers to Pardee BlueMD

UNC Health Pardee continues to expand access to primary care by adding internal medicine physician Kristen Lee and family medicine physician assistants Brooke Fowler and Kate Thompson.

Lee will join Pardee BlueMD — 712 Fleming St., and Fowler and Thompson will practice at Pardee BlueMD — 611 5th Ave. West in Hendersonville.

Announcing Two Exciting New Additions to the Pardee Hospital Foundation Team!

Please join us in warmly welcoming Andrew Schmidt and Callie Davis. We are excited to have them on board as we continue to work together to enhance healthcare in Western North Carolina.

Andrew is our new Donor Engagement Officer, and Callie is our new Marketing and Communications Manager.

Andrew joined Pardee Hospital Foundation in November, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for philanthropy, while Callie's expertise in business development, marketing, communications, and event planning will bring much to her role as our new Marketing and Communications Manager.
