Leadership Weld County applications are due August 1! Don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of this experience which fine tunes your leadership skills and enhances your knowledge of the community.
This 9-month community engagement program, designed to develop an awareness of the Greeley and Weld County area, also creates a network of informed leaders, and encourages greater involvement in the community.
Class members initially take the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) which measures leadership competencies and defines how to act on their discoveries. Leaders gain deep insight into how they see themselves as leaders, how others view them, and what actions they can take to improve their effectiveness.
This inventory develops, nurtures, and empowers leaders. The LPI inspires breakthrough insights that leaders need to build positive relationships and make extraordinary things happen.
Monthly topics include: Education, Economic Development, Healthcare, Public Safety, Energy, with site visits, and interactive and “hands-on” experiences.
LWC begins in September with team building at the UNC Ropes course and culminates with a graduation celebration in May. October – May, the class meets the second Thursday of each month.
Tuition for the Leadership Weld County program is $600.00 per participant for Chamber Investors. Tuition covers the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI), monthly sessions, meals, and materials. Two partial scholarships are available.
