Bob’s Bumper Sticker

On his car bumper, my friend Bob has a peace sticker. It has four words, and none of them is peace.

One day, Bob was waiting at a stop sign to turn onto a busy road when his car was rear-ended

.

Bob and the other driver jumped out of their vehicles at the same time. The woman immediately asked if Bob were alright, and then began apologizing.

“It’s all my fault. I loved the message on your bumper sticker so much, that I was trying to write it down when I hit you.”

Bob thought, You blooming idiot – writing, driving and not paying attention. No wonder you hit me.

Then Bob remembered his bumper sticker –

Bob thought, I sure am barking mad. He took a deep breath.

“Lady, I want to scream at you, but my bumper sticker won’t let me.”

They both had a good laugh together. Then they peacefully exchanged their driver licenses and car registrations.
