Important Message from GCCCD
As part of our comprehensive alcohol and violence prevention program, and in compliance with the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act and the Campus SaVE Act, the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District (GCCCD) expects all students to complete "Voices for Change" by Get Inclusive: an online science-based wellness course taken by thousands of students each year.
To complete the course, look for an email invitation from Get Inclusive: Voices for Change and click on the link provided. You may have already received an invitation or should receive the email invitation in the next few hours if you have not already completed the training.
Please Note:
- All responses to quizzes and questionnaires in the GCCCD Get Inclusive online program are 100% confidential.
- The Office of Student Affairs will be notified of your completion.
- Once you complete the Get Inclusive online training program, you do not need to take it again.
Get Inclusive: Voices for Change is an online training program designed to promote a healthier and safer online and campus environment for everyone. This program covers important topics such as students' rights and responsibilities; understanding and preventing sexual misconduct through bystander intervention; understanding alcohol and other drugs; and acting as allies for others in need. This program is just one part of our commitment to these topics. During your time as a student at GCCCD we invite you to engage in an array of activities and programs that offer further exploration of bystander intervention, understanding sexual violence myths, risk reduction centered approaches to alcohol and other drugs, among others.
The Student Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures provides information regarding standards of conduct for all students. The Code of Conduct identifies the following as a violation, "Unlawful possession, use, sale, offer to sell, or furnishing, or being under the influence of, any controlled substance listed in California Health and Safety Code Sections 11053 et seq., an alcoholic beverage, or an intoxicant of any kind; or unlawful possession of, or offering, arranging, or negotiating the sale of any drug paraphernalia, as defined in California Health and Safety Code Section 11014.5" and identifies possible sanctions. Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District has updated its Title IX policy and procedures to comply with the regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Education in May of 2020. The regulations govern how the District must adjudicate sexual harassment as defined by Title IX. The regulations are effective August 14, 2020 and apply to students and employees.
