REFLECTIONS OF HOPE: 10 th Annual Gala Celebration
Making cancer history, one song at a time...

On Saturday, October 13th, Voices of Hope will present its 10th annual gala performance, Reflections of Hope, at North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly. Join members of the local non-profit dedicated to raising funds for cancer research through musical performance as they pursue their "March to a Million!"

The multi-talented VOH cast will once again fill the seats at NSMT to deliver an entertaining musical selection carefully curated from ten years of audience favorites. Don't miss the opportunity to treat yourselves to this passionate, inspirational, and dynamic performance! You can't help but feel the positive impact of this talented, mission-driven group as they burst onto the stage in celebration of their successful support of cancer research through a decade of musical performance.

"Through the years, our members have shared their many different experiences with cancer, and our galas have served as a reflection of their various journeys. Through music and dance, we inspire those in treatment, celebrate recoveries, and mourn painful losses," says Greg Chastain, VOH Founder & President. "This is not an easy path to walk, but it has been made easier for each of us by building a community that thrives on the strength found through collective support and a common hope for a better future."

From the performers to the choreographers, musicians, back-stage tech, and directors, each production represents more than 100 dedicated members of VOH. Started as a single fundraising event, VOH has grown into a thriving, year-round, philanthropic community. Don't miss their celebration of the new possibilities being born through significant advances in
cancer research.

The 10th Annual VOH Gala will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 7 pm in the theatre lobby, followed by the performance of "Reflections of Hope" at 8 pm. Tickets for the event are: $40, $50, and $75 (includes VIP reception) and can be purchased by contacting the Theatre Box Office by phone at 978-232-7200, online at www.nsmt.org, or in person at 62 Dunham Road in Beverly, MA. Over the Summer

Our Summer has been a whirlwind of events, from performances to other fundraisers, and we'd like to thank everyone who participated!

OOTI Jr Youth Performance
Our VOH youth put on their second summer performance, giving us the junior version of Once on This Island.  We're so proud of the talent growing in our younger members,   and giving their time to raise money for cancer research.  Not only that, it was the very first show to be performed  at our studio, the " Nest " !  Hopefully the first of many.

Lowell Spinners National Anthem
Paint Nite was a huge success!  We had a splendid time and raised money for our cause.

We performed the National Anthem for  the Worcester Bravehearts for the first time, and returned to the Lowell Spinners where we  even got to meet Batman and Wonder Woman!

On July 27th, we held o ur  8th  annual Barbra Byrd Memorial Golf Tournament  at the Hillview Golf Course in North Reading.  Golfers enjoyed beautiful weather as well as some special treats on and off the course; Air Cannon drive, Bobby Jones hickory driver, photos with the Red Sox 2004 World Series Trophy, and a visit from the MGH Everyday Heroes Van .  We were honored to have WCVB's sports caster Bob Halloran as our guest.

Darin & Michelle at Open Mic
We performed for the Edgewood Community, and it was an amazing night.  It's always a delight to perform somewhere new, and the audience there was so welcoming.

We held our first Open Mic night at the Nest!  Big thanks to Carol Watson for organizing it.  It was fantastic to see our members perform some of their favorites from outside the VOH  repertoire .  We hope you'll join us next time!

We appreciate your continued support of our March to A Million!  Since 2009, VOH has donated over $600,000 to cancer research, and nearly half a million dollars  to the Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies at the MGH Cancer Center.  We won't stop singing until our efforts help find a cure!
