Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) is proud to highlight the success of alumna Brennan Thompson, whose education and experiences at SVCC helped prepare her for a vital role in public safety as a 911 Telecommunicator with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
A native of Mecklenburg County, Thompson chose to stay close to home after her high school graduation; she pursued an associate degree at SVCC in general studies with the goal of strengthening her academic foundation prior to transferring to a university. During her time at SVCC, Thompson expanded her focus by adding a concentration in Administration of Justice, aligning her studies with her passion for working in law enforcement.
