Greetings in the blessed holy name of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As we continue our labors here at Scriptures for America Ministry, I thank those of you that continue to help make our labors possible through your prayers, tithes, and offerings. They are much needed and appreciated.

One of the scriptures that has really stuck out in my head as of late is Proverbs 29:16.

When the wicked increase, wrongdoing increases, but the righteous will see their downfall!

This Scripture I have found much comfort in. I want us, the Remnant, to be those that will see the downfall of the wicked; that will see the downfall of wrongdoing. You have heard it preached over and over again from this ministry that it is 2 Chronicles 7:14 or bust. It indeed is just that! It is the time that we must repent, turned from our wicked ways, seek His face, and call upon the Almighty to heal this land!

…And My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.                 

                       2 Chronicles 7:14

Something new, the Scripture says in Isaiah. 

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I am going to do something new, Now it will spring up; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.

We are seeing something new, a type of roadways and rivers, if you will, a way being made. The Word of God is being preached and spoken in places that we have never thought of before. The Word of God is being heard by people that had not planned on hearing it, but it is being put out and many are hearing it, unexpectedly! He is making a way!

Many have heard of the recent songs from the so-called nobody, as far as musical performer is concerned, Anthony   Oliver. His song, “Rich Men North of Richmond,” struck a chord with millions of Americans, and it rose to the top of the charts almost overnight. In interviews, he tells his testimony of turning from a sinful lifestyle and turning his life over to God. In his many musical performances since then, he reads from the Bible and tells his listeners of the importance of Godly principles. 

Something new.

Today, podcasts are the “in” thing. What a surprise, when some of the most-popular and most-listened to podcasts, (such as ex-military and the-like), have been presented with truths from Proverbs! And, many of the hosts have listened to the wisdom being presented, and agreed with it! LIVE on the air! And then the truths of the Word get spread to a group of unlikely Bible students… 

Something new.

Not that we are huge NFL fans, but recent NFL Live   interviews with NFL players have shifted from how many yards were run or how the game was won, to the proclaiming of Jesus Christ and the need for the Gospel to be preached in the schools, in the courtrooms and in the community! 

Something new.

There have been several revival-type meetings and gatherings occurring at college campuses across the nation as well. Recently, Auburn had a meeting of this type, and then had a mass baptism! The enemies are not too pleased with this at all, and they are in an uproar and threatening lawsuits and such! Again, college students all over the country hearing and believing and obeying the Word of God. 

Something new.

And, there are even more movies out recently that tell of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that tell true stories of His forgiveness and His saving Grace. Not just feel-good, Hallmark-type movies, but real, true, down-to-earth stories of His  Salvation for His people (whether they know who they are or not…)      

Something new.

These things that we are seeing happening, that further the Gospel of Jesus Christ, are seeds being planted. These things WILL cause more to seek just what His Word does say, to seek answers to the questions that they have, that their Judeo-Christian preachers aren’t answering. 

Remnant, BE READY! These are the times that we have been trained for, that we have been prepared for; to be found as workmen, ready, willing and able to answer questions and to help others with the Gospel; worthy of the term Christian, and a true follower of Jesus Christ!

           ...But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always 

being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect;

America Pays the Wages of Sin

Pastor Peters taught a basic principle of life, and that is, there is no free lunch. Many in America today live and act as if there is free lunch, that they can sin and get by with it, both individually and as a nation. This is not true, as the Scripture, and history itself, proves time and time again. America today IS paying the wages of her sin, in many ways.  

America Pays The Wages of Sin:

Earthquakes, Floods, Hurricanes, Arctic Cold, Fires, Riots, Etc.

           There are what the Bible calls wages of sin (Romans 6:23). That means somebody is going to pay. Just as there "ain't no free lunch," there is no "free sin." Sin costs and costs dearly. This is true on the national level as well as the individual level. America is proving the rule, the rule that has been stated in many ways in Scripture.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. Galatians 6:7

           Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.               

Proverbs 14:34

            ...They have provoked Me to anger... I will heap misfortunes on them;

Deuteronomy 32:21,23

           If you are not careful to observe all the words of this Law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God... as the Lord delighted over you to prosper you, and multiply you, so the Lord will delight over you to make you perish...                                                    Deuteronomy 28:58,63

           The wages of sin is ultimately death (Romans 6:23), but the death of a nation is a slow, debilitating and expensive death. A sinful nation is chastised and stricken for its sins, and it becomes weaker and sicker. 

           Isaiah described the process. 

           Where will you be stricken again, as you continue in your rebellion?  The whole head is sick, and the whole heart is faint.                

                                         Isaiah 1:5

           It’s all part of the wages of sin.

           Of all that has been filmed, written, reported, and broadcasted concerning the recent earthquake in California, or the  damaging cold in the east, few have suggested that it could be the ongoing judgement of God.

           The God of Israel has not changed. He still has a covenant people (Genesis 17:7).  

           He has promised them national blessings if they are faithful to Him (Deuteronomy· 28:1-14) and national curses if they are unfaithful (Deuteronomy 28:15-44).  

           The blessings and curses have followed these people all the way to America, for the Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, Scandinavian, and kindred people that settled America are that people. 

So all these curses shall come on you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed (i.e., death of their nation), because you would not obey the LORD your God by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. And they shall become a sign and a wonder on you and your descendants forever.

                         Deuteronomy 28:45,46

AN EARTHQUAKE IS A SIGN OF AN INDIGNANT GOD

           ...At His wrath the earthquakes, and the nations cannot  endure His indignation.            Jeremiah 10:10

           Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes stubble, and dry grass collapses into the flame, so their root will become like rot and their blossom blow away as dust; for they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. On this account the anger of the Lord has burned against His people, and He has stretched out His hand against them and struck them down, and the mountains quaked; and their corpses lay like refuse in the middle of the streets. For all this His anger is not spent, but His hand is stretched out.

                                                                       Isaiah 5:24,25

           Notice this Scripture says His anger is not spent. In other words, "You ain't seen nothing yet, America."

           America's hurricanes, droughts, floods, freezes, fires, riots, diseases, trade deficits, and earthquakes are the costly wages of sin. Jeremiah tells us it's our sins that withhold good from us.

           "And it shall come about when they say, 'Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?' then you shall say to them, 'As you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve strangers in a land that is not yours.'        

 "Declare this in the house of Jacob and proclaim it in  Judah, saying, 'Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, but see not; who have ears, but hear not. 'Do you not fear Me?' declares the Lord.  'Do you not tremble in My    presence?  For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, an eternal decree, so it cannot cross over it.

           Though the waves toss, yet they cannot prevail; though they roar, yet they cannot cross over it. 'But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart; They have turned aside and     departed. They do not say in their heart, "Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain in its season, both the autumn rain and the spring rain, who keeps for us the appointed weeks of the  harvest."  'Your iniquities have turned these away, and your sins have withheld good from you."

                                                                       Jeremiah 5:19-25

Are we so foolish to think we can survive as a nation when we accept and tolerate usury, antichrists, queers, murderers, adultery, thieves, corrupt politicians, pornography, abortion, lasciviousness, rebellion, etc., etc.

Shall I not punish them for these things?" declares the LORD. "On a nation such as this shall I not avenge  Myself?"  Who is the wise man that may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined, laid waste like a desert, so that no one passes through? And the Lord said,      "Because they have forsaken My Law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice nor walked according to it, but have walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.                                                           Jeremiah 9:9,12-14

           On a national scale, where does it end? In death! 

That is, we either repent or we perish. Our only hope is to repent and turn back or we perish, for the wages of sin is death.

           If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble them­ selves and pray, and seek My face and tum from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

                                                            2 Chronicles 7:13,14

           More snow and ice is poised to pelt the Northeast this week­ end, leaving many cities and state governments scrambling to keep up with winter.

           Across the Midwest and Northeast, hundreds of cities are reporting dangerously low salt reserves, excessive over­time paid to emergency work­ers and dwindling budgets: In Pennsylvania, a cara­van of 100 trucks Thursday began hauling salt  from  New York mines, after officials said their $115   million winter budget is blown and 78% of the state's salt supply is spent.

           "It's keeping us going," says John Corney of Pennsylvania's Emergency Management Agency. "But depending what Mother Nature has in store . . . it may not be enough."

           In New Jersey, officials said 97,000 tons of salt already. had been spread - three times the amount used two winters ago. And they fear an ice storm predicted for the Northeast today could leave them empty.

           New York City is $6 million over budget and officials expect to spend $3.5 million more this weekend.

           Today's storm, expected to drop freezing rain and sleet from Philadelphia to Maine, could be followed · by another Sunday, says Wayne Barnes of Weather Services Corp.

           How much snow is anyone's guess, as predictions range from two inches to two feet.

America, the Scriptures are still true, as the Word of God does not change. Repent, and live. Choose you this day what you will believe, and who you will serve, God or man. This land needs Jesus Christ, NOW, more than ever. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the WORD of God tells us. Blessings on a nation are NOT what we are seeing and living today, here in the good old USA…Repent!

           Introduction

The catalyst for this article comes from the Health Article in (a previous) newsletter wherein I stated I took a health food supplement capsule that had 1/1200th of an ounce of collagen derived from pork. A few people (very few) took great exception to my statement and the article.

In observing the reasoning and indignation of those few, I came to realize that some need taught on how to use the Law lawfully. We sent two tapes out on our tape ministry on this subject...

(Now CD’s…, Spirit of the Pharisee #605 and Lawful Law #606 available for an offering of $5.00 each). 

Points in this article are taken from those two messages but for a more detailed expose', we recommend you listen to the messages on (CD).

The world is looking for answers to all the problems that have evolved in it. Problems from violating His Law. The church has a great opportunity to give answers from God's Word and Law.  

 (For example, read the letter sent to me from CNN news [See Exhibit 1, in this Newsletter]) and note the interest in our booklet, Saving the Environment-New World Order Style.

           Such opportunity will be destroyed by those who would use the Law unlawfully and, in the process, drive reasonable people away from looking further into the Bible for answers.  When the Law is not used lawfully, divisions, factions and bondage occur and the words of         Galatians 5:15 come to pass.

           But if you bite and devour one another, take care lest you be consumed by one another:

 THE LAW CAN BE USED UNLAWFULLY

But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully.                              

                                    1 Timothy 1:8

The Law, according to Scripture, is good IF it's used lawfully and, likewise then, it can be bad if used unlawfully.  

Most have not considered that it can be used that way. We need to understand how the Law can be used unlawfully.

           IT'S UNLAWFUL TO USE THE LAW AS A MEANS OF JUSTIFICATION.

The following Scripture clearly indicates that under the new Covenant the Chris tian is justified by Faith and not by Law keeping.  

Because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.  Where then is boasting? It is excluded.   By what kind of law?  Of works? No, but by a law of faith.

           Romans 3:20-27 

        Does this mean the Law has been nullified or replaced with faith, love or grace?   Romans 3:31 clearly answers that question. 

Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be!  On the contrary, we establish the Law.

Our personal peace and justification does not come through keeping the Law but through faith.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace. with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

                                                           Romans5:1

Jesus taught this in Luke 18:10-14.

Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and  began praying this in regard to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.  I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.

The man who kept the Law and felt more justified than the tax-gatherer was not justified. I wonder how many today feel more worthy and more justified than an IRS agent (i.e., tax-gatherer).  I have seen people use the Law in such a fashion who felt more righteous and justified because they didn’t eat unclean food and someone else did, because they kept the Sabbath and someone else did not, because they only use the Holy name and someone else did not, etc., etc., etc., etc.

            IT’S UNLAWFUL TO USE THE LAW AS A MEANS OF SANCTIFICATION

Some maintain that sanctification comes through keeping the Law. The Scripture teaches we are sanctified through faith in Jesus (Acts 26:18), that we are sanctified by the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:16), that we are sanctified through the offering of His body (Hebrews 10:10), that we are sanctified by His blood (Hebrews 10:29). 

1 Corinthians 6:11 teaches we are sanctified and justified when we are washed, i.e., baptism (see Acts 2:38 and 22:16).

True sanctification is an on-going process and includes obeying His will, i.e., His Law, but sanctification does not happen simply because we keep His Law.

         IF YOU ARE FEELING WORTHY BECAUSE YOU OBEY THE LAW, YOU ARE USING IT UNLAWFULLY.

Jesus taught us to recognize our unworthiness in Luke 17:7-10.  

But which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come immediately and sit down to eat'? But will he not say to him, 'Prepare something for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me until I have eaten and drunk and afterward you will eat and drink'?  He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he? So, you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’  

If you ask Christians if they are worthy, they usually answer no. Yet, often they think they are more worthy than some other Christian who doesn't do God's will as perfectly as they. For example, if I say, “my wallet is empty", you would think it was empty.  But, if I say, “my wallet is empty but not as empty as yours", then you would know it's not really empty. For the Christian to say or think he or she is unworthy and then say or think "but I'm more worthy than that man." then that Christian is not really unworthy.

           I have seen people feel more worthy than others because they take only vegetable based food capsules, because they only use a certain Bible translation, because they use the Holy name, because they keep the true Sabbath, because they have a better doctrinal understanding, etc., etc:, etc., etc. 

Such people often feel so much more worthy than others, they split and divide and refuse to fellowship, or at the very best, look at others as lessor brothers and sisters.

Just remember, if you think you are more worthy, then you are unworthy and have missed the teaching of Luke 17:10. 

So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’  Luke 17:10

IT IS UNLAWFUL TO USE THE LETTER OF THE LAW VERSES THE SPIRIT OF THE LAW.

           2 Corinthians 3:6 says,

…who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Romans 7:6 says,

But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

           For example, the Law forbids eating pork. (Note: Many have confused meats sacrificed to idols with unclean foods. On this subject, we recommend our two (CD’s), Bible Food Laws Parts 1 and 2, #504, #505.) Two men accused me of violating unclean food laws because I took a capsule that contained 1/1200th of an ounce of collagen derived from pork. So I gave a true illustration of a woman who had congestive heart failure while pregnant. The doctors told her she would die if she ever got pregnant again.

           While bed ridden, she contacted a friend of mine who suggested and provided certain food supplements contained in the capsules that have 1/1200th of an ounce of collagen derived from pork. She responded miraculously as a result of prayer and the supplements, and she gave birth to a healthy baby.

I asked the men if she was wrong in taking the capsule.  One man said she should have broken open the capsule and poured the substances in a glass. Then both men decided that would be wrong because the substances were already contaminated because of touching the alleged unclean capsule. One man decided it would have been better to not have taken the capsule and died than to take the capsule and live.

You see, to be consistent, this was the only conclusion he could give. This woman had a husband and other children and his position was to let her die, let her husband be a widower and her children be motherless all because of 1/1200th of an ounce of collagen derived from pork. 

The letter of the Law killeth.

I then gave another example. A true one. A father’s son accidentally cut his hand severing some tendons. An   operation was required, and the internal stitches were made with cat gut because cat gut dissolves. Yet cat gut is technically (letter of the Law) unclean.

Should the operation be performed or should it not, thus leaving the son with a club hand? Again, to be consistent, the answer was better not to have the operation than to violate the Law and use cat gut.

Such is to go by the letter of the Law and not the Spirit and it's not lawful. Such was the spirit of the Pharisee that would rather a man have a lame hand than to heal on the Sabbath. Such people need to read and heed James 2:12,13.   

So speak and so act, as those who are to be judged by the Law of liberty. For judgement will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment. 

IT'S UNLAWFUL TO USE THE LAW WITHOUT COMPASSION AND WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING HIGHER AND LESSER LAW

Jesus taught the spirit of the Law when confronted by those who wanted to hold to the letter of the Law regarding His healing on the Sabbath. He taught the concept of higher law overriding the less weightier matters of the Law.

At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath through the grainfields, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, "Behold, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath."  But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did, when he became hungry, he and his companions; how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests alone? Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath, and are innocent? But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here.  But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent.

                                                           Matthew 12:1-7

           IT IS UNLAWFUL TO USE THE LAW WITHOUT LOVE.

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions. 

                                                           1 Timothy 1:5-8

God is not just Law. He is not just the force. Once a friend said to me, "As I look back, if my dad wanted, he could have spanked me a lot more times than he did when I was growing up." What he was reflecting on was the mercy, long-suffering, patience, and kindness that his father had because he LOVED his son.  His father was not just a law and authority figure. However, consider the proverbial red-headed stepchild whose stepfather is simply the stern authority figure that lays down the law. His attitude is, "if you are going to live in my house, you are going to abide by my rules."

Thank God He administers His Law with love, mercy, and compassion. Thank God we can become sons of God not  stepsons of God.  

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.                                Romans 8:14-16

 The love He had for His son we are to have.

...that the love wherewith Thou didst love Me may be in them...                                             John 17:26

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.     

1 Timothy 1:5-7

The fruitless discussions become absurd. Men discuss 1/1200th of an ounce of collagen derived from pork while they smoke a cigarette and eat at a restaurant with pork grease on the grill. One man wears lizard skin boots and the other has mixed clothing and the discussion turns to football. Can a man play it since the football is made out of pig skin which shouldn't be touched.  Do we dare buy meat at the supermarket where the same meat saw cuts pork and beef or today's soaps (most of which have a pork fat base)? Or how about the Sabbath? Can we put wood in the wood burning stove, make phone calls, turn on the light switch, which is buying electricity. 

Then comes the drawing of lines and the rules that must be met for fellowship and the bondage and the judging.

For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF". But if you bite and devour one another, take care lest you be consumed by one another.                               

     Galatians 5:13-15

A world that needs answers for its crime problems, i.e., sin problems is turned away from the Law by such attitudes, vain discussions, wranglings, and un-lawful use of the Law.

The world yearns for the sons of God (not stepsons)) to reveal God's Law lawfully.

For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.             Romans 8:19

           But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious for the ungodly and sinners: for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars, and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.                                               1 Timothy 1:8-11

Dear Pastor Peters,

As you requested, the following letter further explains our interest in adding your views to our continuing debate on world environmental issues. Material from our interview will be used to develop a 7-to-10-minute cover story for our weekly environmental magazine program called Earth Matters. The program airs nationally on CNN and TBS, and internationally on CNN­ I to prime time audiences in Europe and Asia.

A function of our program is to explore the many points of view surrounding current environmental issues.  In the past we have interviewed Ron Arnold of the Wise Use Movement, as well as Vice President AI Gore. Even though they are on opposite ends of the environmental spectrum, both men considered our approach to be thoughtful and fair.

In recent months we have launched projects exploring the rise of religion in the environmental movement, and the impact of immigration on global quality of life.  As you have recently developed your own national television forum, we believe it is important and timely to present your views to our global audience.

I am specifically interested in discussing your publication entitled "Saving the Environment­ New World Order Style".  I would like for you to explain the following:  the connection between sin and the environment, how the world political structure and our handling of environmental problems are linked, the hidden agenda within the world environmental movement, who is responsible for environmental stewardship, and your thoughts on current problems like global warming, deforestation, over population, and res6urce conservation.
