Volunteer:
Help Collect Acorns for Reoaking
Each fall, RCD collects, plants, and distributes acorns from native oak trees in our efforts to re-oak Napa County.

We rely on volunteers to help us collect native oak acorns for plantings in our County.

To volunteer, keep an eye out for acorns on your property or other properties that you have access to. Review this Acorn Collection Fact Sheet from CNPS to learn how to tell good acorns (those that have a good chance of germinating) from bad, and other handy tips.

We need acorns from:

When acorns start dropping, collect them, bag them with a few leaves from the tree, fill out this Data Sheet, and bring the acorns and data sheet to our office.
