William smoothly transitioned into a new housing opportunity in Downtown San Diego. He feels happier in his new home and is getting to meet his neighbors. His overall health and sustaining his housing remain priorities.
Christine and her family moved into an apartment in San Marcos. As they have settled into their new home, this family is now focused on saving towards a new vehicle as their commute to work is longer.
Matthew continues to be a hard worker. He is now offering his barbering skills on base at Camp Pendleton. He is waiting to hear back from an apartment community in Oceanside regarding a move-in date.

Get Ready for the
Stamp Out Hunger Postal Food Drive!
Saturday, May 13th
Letter carriers see too many hungry people as they deliver the mail. So every 2nd Saturday in May, letter carriers collect non-perishable food donations and give them to organizations like CRC.
Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is simple. Just leave a nonperishable food donation in a bag by your mailbox on Saturday, May 13. Your letter carrier will do the rest.

CRC receives food donated to the Solana Beach and Encinitas Post Offices.

Capital Campaign
In past newsletters, we highlighted some of the individuals who have made generous campaign gifts to help us achieve over 56% of our $10.5 million campaign goal.

Our community’s generosity shows up from a variety of sources - individuals, businesses, and private foundations - and we are delighted to share our appreciation for the David C. Copley Foundation, for their campaign gift of $250,000.
CRC’s relationship with The David C. Copley Foundation began in 2016 with financial support of our programs and services.

The David C. Copley Foundation (formerly known as the Helen K. and James S. Copley Foundation) began in 1953 as The Copley Foundation. David C. Copley, the son of Helen K. and James S. Copley, was a businessman and philanthropist, born and raised in San Diego. He passed away in 2012 and his family’s legacy lives on with independent directors whose mission is to continue the Copley Family legacy working ceaselessly to support those in need with empathy and kindness.
“The David C. Copley Foundation
is proud to support Community Resource Center’s One Heart Capital Campaign. CRC has provided invaluable services to domestic violence victims and the unhoused
for many years and they have clearly outgrown their current space which
is also in need of significant upgrades and improvements.

The new space will allow CRC to expand critical services so they can increase the number of people served while providing a more private setting to this vulnerable population.”

- Kimberly Koch, Chief Operating Officer
