April Is Volunteer Appreciation Month!

We want to take a moment to thank you for all of your hard work. As a non-profit organization, we rely on volunteers like YOU to keep our program running and ensure that students get the support they need to succeed in reading. Without your dedication, we wouldn't be able to provide the educational experiences we know are so important to our students' success.

Thank you for all your hard work!

March Volunteer Spotlight

Lee W. "Gov" Vaughn, has been volunteering at the Children's Literacy Center for the past two years.

Gov has been a great resource to the students, helping them improve their reading skills and gain self-confidence as they progress through the Peak Reader tutoring program.

He appreciates being able to help the students develop their reading abilities and gain confidence in their abilities, as well as being able to provide valuable feedback on their progress as they go through our program.

Fun Fact - he has one blue eye and one brown eye!

Honoring the Board of Directors

The Children’s Literacy Center is governed by a 13 member board of directors and an advisory board of 5 members. The board provides mentorship to the staff, acts as a visionary, and assists with the direction and growth of the mission.
