Join us as we welcome the growing season and have our first workshop of the year. Learn to improve the biodiversity of your yard, garden, or farm by creating a welcoming place for native beneficial plants and insects! We'll be getting our hands in the soil and planting so if you have gloves, please bring them with you.
There will be water available to drink but we encourage you to bring your own. Please come dressed for the weather. We will be gathering light rain or shine. In the event of an intense storm, we will reschedule. To register please follow this link.

During Ramadan, the month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Muslims abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset. The annual observance, which begins this year on March 22 and ends on April 20, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is performed to learn compassion, self-restraint, and generosity. By posting "Blessed Ramadan" lawn signs at churches and temples, school and college grounds, and in neighborhoods across the county, we convey kindness and hospitality to our fellow Muslim citizens. At our best, Americans are a welcoming, caring, respectful community. The Blessed Ramadan lawn sign available through InterFaith Works is a public gesture and a sign of goodwill. The signs are also intended to promote conversation and learning. Each lawn sign is $15, and may be purchased online by clicking one of the payment buttons below. For more information, contact InterFaith Works at 315- 449- 3552, ext. 208 or [email protected]. When you come to the office to pick up your sign, please ask for Daryl.

Help Create Economic Justice For
Older Adults: Be an AmeriCorps VISTA Project Manager
InterFaith Works has a great opportunity for a creative and collaborative project manager. Help create economic justice for older adults! Our AmeriCorps VISTA Member will design a pilot program for the Greater Syracuse Aging Services Coalition, to increase older adults’ enrollment in federal benefits and other income-stretching programs.
The Greater Syracuse Aging Services Coalition works to increase social connectedness and advance racial equity and economic justice for older adults in Onondaga County. Together with aging service providers, community members, and anyone who cares about aging, we develop initiatives that change the lives of people most impacted by ageism, racism and economic inequality. The Greater Syracuse Aging Services Coalition is convened by InterFaith Works of Central New York, a non-profit human services agency in Syracuse that works to affirm the dignity of each person and every faith tradition, build racial and religious equity, and create bridges of understanding among us.
