Carol Bush has been volunteering with Encompass Early Education and Childcare for 63 years. Carol is a visionary, dreamer, and doer. Much of her life's work as a volunteer has centered on Encompass Early Education and Childcare. Carol was inspired and realized scholarships were needed so families could afford childcare. Carol and her husband Bob helped to create several successful fundraisers, including the "Big Event for Little Kids".
Through Carol and Bobs' efforts, they have raised well over $7,000,000 for Encompass, with $250,000 a year going to the roughly 45% of families that require tuition assistance. Children who leave Encompass programs are ready for school, ready for success in life, and are healthier and happier.
One of the reasons Carol is great at what she does is because she, too, loves to play, learn, and meet new people and listen to their stories.
Thank you, Carol, for your love and dedication to Encompass and the children!

Brown County UW-Extension Community Gardens Program
will be having a festival to celebrate their 20th anniversary on Saturday, September 10th. They are looking for a local band who would be willing to play for a portion of this event and would particularly like to find a band that sings in Spanish, to honor their gardeners' diversity. Given the programs small budget, they are unable to pay the band, but would be happy to promote them in their event publicity. For more information or if you are able to help with this celebration, please contact Margaret Franchino at 920-391-4660 or
