Volunteers of the Week

The Concerned Hearts Club has devoted services to the community and to Bellin Hospital for over 30 years. The organization was started as a support group for those patients who recently received heart surgery, and continues to function in the same way to this day. The Concerned Hearts Club was founded on concern not only for the patients, but for their families as well. T
he club provides visitations for pre and post-surgery patients and provides coffee to family members in the intensive care waiting room.
Through the years, the Concerned Hearts Club has held many fundraisers, including their Dinner Dance and golf outing. In addition, private donations have been made to the club. These monies have gone back into the community to help support organizations including the American Red Cross, YMCA, St. Mary's Hospital and Bellin Hospital. They have also donated money for new equipment on the Eagle III, the medical flight unit which serves all medical organizations in Green Bay.
Thank you, members of the Concerned Hearts Club, for all that you do for the community!

The Neville Public Museum wants you to share in the magic of the holidays by bringing Green Bay's beloved Bruce the Spruce to life! Bruce, the talking Christmas tree, was a central figure in the H.C. Prange holiday display in downtown Green Bay. Years ago, Bruce packed up his roots and moved across the river to continue the tradition at the Neville.
This is your chance to spread the holiday cheer by rekindling the memories of adults, who visited with Bruce as a child, and introducing a new generation to this local tradition.
Volunteers will adopt the character of Bruce, a naive spruce tree who lives at the North Pole. They will interact with visitors and tell of Bruce's adventures with Santa Claus.
A short orientation session is required. For more information, contact Ryan Swadley at 920-448-7840 or swadley_rd@co.brown.wi.us.
