Coaches of Bay Navigators Special Olympics Team have been volunteering with the Bay Navigators Agency since 2001. Today, the Bay Navigators has grown to over twenty-seven children who currently participate in track, team soccer, basketball skills, team basketball and bowling. The Agency covers Ashwaubenon, Howard-Suamico, and Pulaski school districts. However, others have joined from as far away as De Pere and Luxemburg because of the sense of family that this group has portrayed. The coaches have accumulated a combined total of forty-two years in their time given to the Bay Navigators!

Winning a Special Olympics event has never been the primary goal of the coaches. Their main goal has always been to allow as many players as possible to participate in each event. It doesn't matter what skill level each individual plays at; they are an important part of the team, and the coaches want them to know that. Each team member is treated with kindness and respect, and any comments or actions by the coaches are solely for the purpose of increasing self-confidence, raising self-esteem, and making the athletes feel important.
