The Farmory - Educational Programming Committee is our Volunteer of the Week!
The Educational Programming Committee plans the educational opportunities that The Farmory provides. These opportunities are related to growing food and all of the processes that come along with it such as cooking, marketing, and learning about the food system at large. Educational programming is available to community members of all ages and backgrounds, including kindergartners through high school students, college students, individuals and families with low incomes, individuals with intellectual disabilities, veterans, and any other persons interested in their programs!
The committee meets once a month to plan out educational opportunities. They have developed their own strategic plan, which guides their work. They work on action steps that will plan available field trips, internships, workshops, and volunteer opportunities. They plan workshops to be available in the coming years on topics ranging from straw bale gardening to beekeeping! This committee is integral to The Farmory's operations and growth as a nonprofit. They take ideas and flesh them out into tangible programming and community outputs. The committee consists of some of The Farmory's busiest volunteers, but they always go above and beyond to make sure they take action on their ideas!
Thank you, The Farmory - Educational Programming Committee, for your ongoing commitment to providing educational programs for those in our community!
