Dorothy Perpich is our volunteer of the week!  In 2014, St Vincent de Paul Society recognized the need to revitalize the Nativity Conference in order to assist with the needs of those experiencing the pains of poverty within the Nativity Parish neighborhoods.  Dorothy came forward wanting to be a member of the Society at a time when there was not an active Conference of which to be a part of.

When Dorothy wanted to originally become involved with the Nativity Conference, she did not want to lead, but then overcame her own self doubt and has lead this group to be one of the most effective Conferences in the Green Bay District Council.  The process of working with the church and educating people on the mission and work took the Society of St Vincent de Paul several months and many hours of effort but Dorothy kept pushing on despite challenges and set backs.

As the president of the Conference, Dorothy calls the group together at least twice per month to meet and discuss the service they have provided for the month.  She also coordinates teams of two for home visits with those who have requested assistance, which can mean several visits per week.

Dorothy is a quiet and gentle soul who leads others by example.  She is persistent in advocating for those less fortunate.  The St Vincent de Paul Society of Green Bay would like to thank Dorothy for her hard work and revitalizing the Conference in Green Bay.
