The Student Evaluators at Literacy Green Bay have been volunteering for 30 years combined. Literacy Green Bay is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help adults and families acquire the reading, writing, math, English language skills and workforce skills they need to function effectively as workers and community members.

Before being matched with a tutor to work one-on-one, a new student needs to be tested and evaluated in order to provide the volunteer tutor with appropriate teaching materials. The volunteer Student Evaluators at Literacy Green Bay do this very important step. They are responsible for providing an orientation, interviewing, and evaluating new students as well as summarizing information for potential tutors. They must have thorough information for each learner to help alleviate worries of new tutors and give them the necessary information to meet an "unknown student" and be effective during lessons.

Thank you, Student Evaluators, for your commitment to these students and the community!
