WPS Volunteer Award Nominations Are Now Open!
|
Consider what our community would be like without the efforts of volunteers.
The Heart of Gold Lifetime Achievement Award category, which is sponsored by Morgan Stanley, would be for a volunteer whose lifetime of service exemplifies notable achievement in community service. This award has typically been given to a volunteer who is 60+ years of age.
Please take the time to honor the enormous impact that volunteers make in our community by nominating an individual or group for one of the WPS Volunteer Awards. The Volunteer Awards program is put on by the Volunteer Center of Brown County and sponsored by Wisconsin Public Service.
The deadline for nominations is March 3, 2017.
Please visit our website to learn more about the WPS awards and to view the options for nomination:

Happily Ever After Animal Sanctuary's vision is
"A world where the life of every companion animal matters...Every.Single.One." Achieving this vision is not easy work. With more than 200 animals that require daily care, they rely on their volunteers to help run their organization. Within their volunteer base are 14 lead volunteer positions serving in various capacities. These leads are critical to providing direction, consistency and an example for their entire volunteer base. Their 14 lead positions have more than 90 years of collective Happily Ever After tenure!
Volunteerism with Happily Ever After is an everyday part of the organization. Their volunteer commitments range from one time per year to one or more times per week. Their volunteer hours roll up to amass more than 22,000 hours per year. In their brief 10 year history, they have accumulated well over 100,000 hours of volunteer efforts. This is something they are beyond proud of because it has allowed them to further engage with the members of our community to perform their work.
Simply put, without volunteers they would not be able to provide the services they do. They have watched Happily Ever After transform the lives of both people and animals, being that the service their clients receive is a direct reflection of the passion and loyalty that come from the hearts of their volunteers.
Their volunteer base embodies the spirit of volunteerism in numerous ways. Happily Ever After would like to thank all of their volunteers for helping make their dream a reality!
