WPS Volunteer Award Nominations Are Now Open!
|
Consider what our community would be like without the efforts of volunteers.
Please take the time to honor the enormous impact that volunteers make in our community by nominating an individual or group for one of the WPS Volunteer Awards. The Volunteer Awards program is put on by the Volunteer Center of Brown County and sponsored by Wisconsin Public Service.
The deadline for nominations is March 3, 2017.
The Youth Award category, which is sponsored by United Healthcare, would be for any individual who is 18 years old or younger. Students who are older than 18, but still in a high school special education program, also qualify in this category.

Judy Jeffers has been a volunteer with the
CP Center for 60 years. She has been helping with their Telethon since 1956,
(has not missed 1 year, WOW), and has been bringing in her dog, Gracie, as a Pet Therapy dog to their adult clients in their Adult Day Services Department on a weekly basis.
Clients have built relationships with her and have been blessed by her presence as well as her dog, Gracie. Since Judy has been volunteering for the Telethon for so many years, she is in charge of the processing department during the entire weekend's production. She is in charge of all of the other volunteers to make sure that the task is done efficiently and correctly. Judy has a passion for helping others that is unmatched and she lives her life in such a way that she strives to give and does not expect anything in return.
Judy's countless hours working with their Adult Day Services as well as being a Pet Therapy Volunteer has helped lighten the load for their staff. "60 years of consistent and dedicated service is an amazing accomplishment". Judy embodies the spirit of volunteerism and is an invaluable asset to the organization. Her life of service to their organization is truly incredible.
Thank you Judy for your 60 years of dedication to the CP Center staff and clients.
