Rachel Charles has been volunteering with the Bay Area Humane Society since May 2015. Rachel volunteers 1-3 times per week and has logged over 150 lifetime volunteer hours. Rachel has helped many customers find the right dog for their family.

Rachel provides service in three different programs at the Bay Area Humane Society. She began as a dog docent, walking and socializing the dogs. In addition, she has joined the TLC program where she works one-on-one with more difficult dogs that need help overcoming certain behaviors. She has successfully worked with two dogs and seen them adopted to wonderful homes. She is currently working with one of our most challenging dogs and hopes to get her adopted. Rachel also learned how to help customers at the front desk so she can provide the best possible service. In addition to all of her great on-site work, Rachel is a hospice foster parent for animals with terminal illness but still enjoying a high quality of life.

Thank you, Rachel, for your volunteer service and commitment to the animals at the Bay Area Humane Society!
