Cathy Dworak is our Volunteer of the Week
as well as our WPS Volunteer Leadership Award Runner-Up
!
Cathy Dworak serves on the Salvation Army Advisory Board, which is the advising board for all Green Bay operations including the Union Court Corps Community Center, the Kroc Center and the thrift store. Cathy also serves on the Executive Committee, which is the executive group of officers and committee chairs that coordinate all board committee activities. Lastly, Cathy also serves as Chair for their annual Golf Outing and a member of the Development Committee, which is responsible for organizing successful fundraising activities and carrying out development initiatives identified in the strategic plan. Cathy joined the Board of Directors and Executive Board Committee in 216. She has served over 100 hours of volunteer time attending meetings or organizing a committee.
The fundraising efforts that Cathy has led or has been a part of have helped raise more than $1,240,000, which is two-thirds of their overall $1,884,000 annual fundraising goal. These funds support programs such as Toys for Tots, Coats for Kids, Tools for School, transitional housing, senior programming, rent and utility vouchers, clothing, etc. All of these programs have served more than 16,000 people in our community. She has also personally volunteered her time to ring bells during the Christmas Campaign and assisted in counting kettle revenues. The Christmas Campaign, alone requires in excess of 14,000 volunteer hours, and Cathy - along with her colleagues - helped fill nearly 100 hours of coverage. Cathy cares deeply for our community and she works tirelessly to improve the lives of those who live here.
Thank you, Cathy, for being a dedicated leader in our community!
