VOLUNTEER PACKET

Greeting Awesome Minnesota TCC Volunteers!!

First off, thank you all for donating your time to our event! We are excited to be partnering with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board this year and have another impressive lakeside venue at Theodore Wirth Park! Once again, we had an overwhelming response from the climbing community and have 65 climbers. This means we are all in for a long day and we will need all of your focus, energy and support. In this packet there will be a number of documents, please review them all and follow instructions as noted.

Here is a basic overview of what you will need to be prepared for the event:

Assignments: All assignments have been made as per the information provided upon registration. The assignments were made with skill set, availability and past competition experience as guiding parameters. Assignments are linked below. Please review your assignment and the dates noted that you said you would be available. Please let Lynn know if your availability has changed or if you have questions or concerns about your assigned role. Please be prepared to do the assignment as given but also a flexible mindset is appreciated as there are always unexpected changes with an event this big.

If you are assigned as a technician of any sort, please bring a helmet, safety glasses and wear pants and covered toe shoes. If you have boots, those are preferred. Gloves are recommended.

If you will be there Thursday and/or Friday please be on site for the 8am meeting as roles/assignments for those days will be assigned at those meetings or upon arrival.

Schedule: There are schedules included for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please review the schedules for all the days you are planning on being there. Beverages and lunches will be provided for all days. There will be light breakfast foods on Saturday and Sunday for participants and volunteers.

Check In: Due to the large field of climbers we will be starting the competition at 7:00am on Saturday. Please be checked in and to your event by 6:30am at the latest. We will be available starting at 6:00am to for the check in process. Please check in at the Pavilion/TCC Ops Central and you will be directed to your event and provided with an event t-shirt.

Map and Parking: There is very limited parking at this venue. Please consider ride sharing/car pooling. Please refer to the main map for drop-off and parking areas.

Our goal is to make this an awesome event for all involved! Please contact one of the following members of the Operations Team with questions or concerns:
